ABOUT THE PROJECT
This was the first time that all 10 of the FAI air sports competed at a single location – and the TV coverage of all sports was live to big screens on the airfield. It was one of the world’s most complex TV productions – using over 110 live onboard cameras, live air to air helicopter cameras systems, real time GPS graphics and ground cameras. This production became the template for the FAI World Air Games. Over 1400 hours of the TV coverage was broadcast globally – seen by over 500 million people.
